Society of St Vincent de Paul
The Society of St Vincent de Paul is a lay Catholic International Organization that aspires to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice, hope and joy and by working to shape a more just and compassionate society.

In our state of Victoria, the Central Office is at Box Hill, where a Call Centre operates. The Call Centre receives telephone calls from needy people, and passes them on to the various Conferences according to their geographic locations. The Society serves anyone in need regardless of creed, ethnic or social background, health, gender or political opinions.

The Conference at St Peter & Paul’s Parish, was established in 1991 by the late Dick Gebbie and Geraldine Gebbie. We currently have 12 active members and 3 associate members, and meet on the first Tuesday of each month. We assist the needy in our community by providing them with Woolworth Vouchers and donated non-perishable food, and with toys and hampers at Christmas. We are able to do this by the generous donations of our parishioners. We have two appeals a year- the Winter Appeal and the Christmas Appeal to keep up our stock of Vouchers and non-perishable food, toys and winter clothing. To make a credit card donation call 13 18 12 or visit www.svdp-vic.org.au.

To donate goods to one of the St Vincent de Paul Society’s centres of charity (the opportunity shops or the Vinnies stores) call 1800 621 349 or 9895 5800
