Bingo Afternoon, Sun 18th Oct, 3:00pm on Zoom

Following on the success of our first virtual parish social gathering, we will be holding a virtual Bingo Afternoon on Zoom. Bring your cuppa, and come have some fun. Catch up with fellow parishioners at the same time, and you may well be a bingo winner of our prizes up for grabs! Register your participation via email to cheryl.tay@cam.org.au by Sun 11 Oct. Bingo cards and Zoom link will be sent upon registration.
 

Parish Virtual Gathering & Presentation of Pastoral Plan & other parish updates

We thank the 40 families who attended our parish virtual gathering on Sun 13th Sept. It was great to “see” and catch up with all of you. For those who were unable to attend the session, you can view a video of Fr Jerald’s sharing, as well as the presentation of the parish pastoral plan and parish updates here.

Thank you for visiting our site, which we hope has been informative and easy to navigate. Situated the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and an easy 30 minutes drive from the city via the Eastern Freeway, our parish offers our congregation pastoral and social supports for the various age groups, including children’s liturgy at mass for the young, sacramental classes for the primary school aged, youth group, parish celebrations and womens’ and mens’ social groups. Our parish leadership team is also continually looking at ways to engage the community and help grow its faith and mission.
 
We warmly welcome you to connect with us in the way that suits you – viewing our digital resources including our weekend masses, visiting us, emailing or calling us. Youth Prayer Session for the Intentions of the Pandemic, Wed 30th Sep, 7.30pm on Zoom
We would like to invite all youths from Grade 6 and above to join in a prayer session to pray for our Lord’s mercy for an end to this pandemic situation in Melbourne.
What: Prayer session – Introduction to and praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet for the intention of the pandemic in Melbourne
Who: Grade 6 and above youths
Duration: 45min

Anointing Mass, Wed 7th Oct 11am, on Zoom
We will be holding a special anointing mass to pray for those who are unwell. If you have family members, relatives or friends that you’d like prayed for at the mass, please send in their names by Friday 2nd Oct via the following methods: call or text 0473 873 479 or email doncastereast@cam.org.au.

All Souls’ Day Mass 2nd Nov 2020
As we may not be able to gather as a community to celebrate All Souls’ Day this year, a recorded mass is being planned. You are invited to send us a photo of your deceased loved ones that will be included in the recorded video mass. All photos are to be emailed to doncastereast@cam.org.au by Fri 23rd Oct.
 
Unite in Prayer, Tues, 8:00pm
Come together in prayer every Tuesday for the intentions of finding effective solutions to the pandemic, and public masses to resume. Join in a 30 min Zoom session if you can. Otherwise, pray with family, friends or on your own. Please see parish newsletter for login details. Together in prayer, we will overcome this adversity.
 
Refresh your understanding of the Holy Mass, Tues, 10:30am
Beginning 18th Aug, we are facilitating a series of 9 online sessions to renew our understanding of the Holy Mass. Sessions will centre around watching & reflecting on a series of videos by Jeff Cavins on different parts of the mass, & sharing our reflections thereafter.
