Saturday Evening/Sunday Masses

The health and wellbeing of all parishioners is paramount.
Due to on-going gathering restrictions, a decision has been made by both parishes leadership teams that the Saturday Evening/Sunday Masses will not be re-commenced until the allowed gathering number is increased to 50.

Whilst the current gathering number remains at 20, it was decided that this number is problematical for a number of reasons, including the number applying, access to and strict use of the TRY Booking system, management to ensure the fair and equitable attendance opportunity is in place and enforced, and the “risk” of interpersonal issues should/when problems arise.

The Liturgy Committee are working on protocols for when the number increases to 50, and updating the PPC accordingly.

Fr. Jerald will continue to celebrate Mass which can be accessed each weekend via the parish website.

Parish AGM – Give Us Your Feedback

Our parish AGM, scheduled for 22 March 2020 had to be to cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the gradual easing of restrictions, our AGM report will now be available online, and hard copies are available for pick up from the Narthex. Parishioners are invited to go through the report and provide us with comments, questions or suggestions. All responses received will be compiled and responded to when we re-convene the AGM (hopefully some time in July or August, when up to 50 people are expected to be allowed to gather indoors).

In addition, the Parish Pastoral Council is in need of new members. If you would like to nominate someone or yourself onto the Council, you can also do so through the avenues listed below. If you would like to find out more about our Council, contact Fr Jerald or Cheryl our pastoral worker at the email address below.

We look forward to receiving inputs from parishioners across the spectrum.

A Prayer of Spiritual Communion

MY JESUS, I believe that you are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I long for you in my soul.
Since I cannot now receive You Sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though You have already come, I embrace you and unite myself entirely to You;
never permit me to be separated from You.

Amen

Our Commitment To Ensure A Child Safe Environment For All

Our parish is committed to upholding the safety and dignity of each child and young person and ensuring that they are able to grow and develop in a caring and supportive environment within our parish. A Prayer to St Joseph

Below is a prayer to St Joseph, under whose patronage the Archbishop has placed this time of crisis.
St Joseph,
You were receptive to God working in your life. Help us by your prayers at this time of trial.
You kept Jesus and Mary under your watchful care: may your prayers assist our local Church to respond to those in need.
You taught the Christ Child your trade and prayers: help us to follow his example of love.
You were part of God’s plan for all humanity: assist us to be vigilant and responsible this day.
You spent your life in service: may we be mindful of others, particularly the elderly and vulnerable, caring for them in these difficult days.
You trusted in the clear primacy of God over all history and every situation: help us to grow in faith and pray to the Father, Thy will be done.
Amen

We are a Catholic Community who profess, celebrate
and witness that Jesus lives, and to whom the Father sends
His Spirit. We express that belief by living out and spreading
the message of the Gospel.
