Love and Peace of Our Lord Be With You

Take the way of the Gospel – Pastoral Letter by Archbishop Comensoli

On this great feast of Pentecost, Archbishop Peter A Comensolihas written to all the faithful of Melbourne, inviting the community into a conversation on how we might discern our common mission for the years ahead. He reflects that the way of the Gospel – the path of missionary discipleship – has always been adapted by every generation to fit the local circumstances. And so now, in our time and place, how might we invite people into the fullness of the Gospel of life, and do so with a renewed sense of vibrancy and vitality?

Year of St Joseph, 8 Dec 2020 to 8 Dec 2021

In an apostolic letter entitled Patris corde, Pope Francis proclaimed a special “Year of St Joseph,” beginning on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception 2020 (8 Dec) and extending to the same feast in 2021. This marks the 150th anniversary of Blessed Pope Pius IX’s declaration of St Joseph as Patron of the Universal Church. More details…

Faith makes us walk with Jesus on the roads of this world, in the certainty that the power of His Spirit will bend the forces of evil, subjecting them to the power of God’s love.” – @ Pontifex Jul 6 2020
